BOK BOK???

So I go out to the coop today to check on my chickens. They are 17 weeks old. I hear this really loud BOK BOK! coming from one of them. Did it just finally find it's voice or does that mean something?

Also, 2 of my SLW's have very red comb and waddles now, and 2 are very pale. Same with my red sex-links. Could they be getting read to lay?

I would say that he's "just finding his voice" and the redder combs and wattles would point to getting ready to lay. Have fun waiting for those tasty eggs!
