Bombombarded by pop-up ads

Am I the only one experiencing non-stop popups? Sometimes they obscure the entire page.And the “x” to tap off doesn’t show. I like this site and find it informative and interesting. But the pop-ups make it impossible to use. Someone please tell me what to do.

You will see the ads unless you purchase a PFM (Premium Feather Membership). Ads are what pay to run the website

I only just got a PFM as a result of my photo being chosen for a caption contest, but even before that the ads that I saw didn't cover the screen or interfere with functionality.

You’re correct, they shouldn’t cover the screen. But as I recall, they can be very frequent.

I was getting some odd probes registering on my firewall before I had PFM, I assumed it was the ads and there wasn't anything that could be done about it.

Clearing your browser history can bring immediate relief, or maybe use a different browser.
