Bonded (a planetary RP)

"Green noddles?" Lara had to ask, though she was smiling at the strangeness of it. "That's interesting" She said then looked at the fruit he showed her, curious about that and nodding at his warning to ask about the food before trying any new things. That just made sense, especially given how some plants from Earth were toxic to people. "I would like to try them, just a little though. New foods should always be tried cautiously, even if they aren't toxic." What one loved to eat could upset another's system, even among humans. She smiled as she looked up to his mask again "Are you going to eat with me? Does Nemra eat the same foods you do, or does she hunt for her meals?" The old table food vs hunting for 'pets' question, it would be good to know.

Dorian smiled at her way of being, she was very different then the humans he had met before. "The noodles are made from a plant, hence the green. And smart way to go about it, trying small amounts, The whole inside of the fruit including the seeds are edible. However some scoop out the seeds and eat just the flesh. Nemra will hunt for her food when she is bored but I tend to spoil her and give her some of what I eat." Speaking of which he turned around and pulled some meat from the cooling unit and set it on the corner of the counter. He looked at the sleeping dragon and made a low whistle to wake her up. Nemra slowly lifted her head and blinked at him then noticed the meat and perked up quickly. She stretched like a cat before taking off and flying to the meat, she landed on it with a ferocity that was probably startling if you were expecting it. He chuckled as he watched her eat. He considered what Lara had asked him, well she would find out what he was eventually he couldn't live in his suit forever.

He nodded and moved to pull his gloves off, starting one one side removing clasps and then pulling it off before moving to the otherwise to reveal black furred paw like hands with neat claws at the finger tips. He then reached up to his helmet/mask and undid the clasps around the base before lifting it off and setting it down. He looked up at Lara and waited for her response, she was the first human to see what he looked like, the many other humans he had met had never seen a single fur on his head, never trusted them. He twitched an round ear but he kept his rich green eyes on her, he wasn't ashamed of what he was and he would not hide.

(Fanci drew Dorian without his armor so you have an idea of what his features are like if you need it. Post #1232 )

Sybil rolled her eyes, this woman wouldn't think her arm was so nice if she had it on herself while it was malfunctioning, hurt like heck. She attempted to cross her arms over her chest but her arm made a hissing pop and refused to bend the way she wanted it to. She swore under her breath before answering her question. "I will let you decide which it is. My older owner cut off my arm when I was ten and put this on instead." She said harshly jerking her arm in the air at the end of the statement. She realized then she was being unnecessarily harsh but she would not apologize for it though.
"Necessity, then. Later, looks," Adele said decidedly. She peered closer at it, now that it was the subject of their conversation. It looked a bit rustic where metal sheets overlapped, like it had been adjusted numerous times, but then had been gone over later for a more polished look. She leaned back to give the cyborg her distance. She didn't fancy having that in her face in a threatening manner. "Is your owner here, with you?" Adele asked. She bit the edge of her lip nervously as she glanced over her shoulder.

Sybil sneered and bit out her answer darkly. "Well there maybe some bits still stuck in the metal work. I killed him years ago with the very modifications he made to me." She then realized there might be a silver lining here with this stranger since she seemed to be interested in her unique traits. She could play on that and see if she could rope her into helping her get the part she needed to be fully functional. "Since you are so interested perhaps you wouldn't mind accompanying me to a vendor to get the part I need to fix it. You see my previous owner needed to update this model since it was put on me when I was so young. However I killed him before he could, I manage to make it work until now but I need a unique compensator to get it working at full function again. I know a vendor who has the part but he is going to require a bit of leg work to get it, you want in?" She asked, having the extra pair of working hands could be useful, and anything they managed to loot while on the job she could keep. All she wanted was that blasted part so her arm would work.

(I like how both of our characters have some attitude and they are the ones stuck together for now, lol. )

Adele tilted her head to the side, staring hard in Sybil's direction, but not at her. She thought for a moment. "I've got nothing else to do," she said finally, with a shrug. She stood up slowly, one leg stiff from sitting on it, and adjusted the waistlength cape around her shoulders. "But I'm not going with a nameless stranger through the slums. What's a girl to do with only a dagger when there's a metal fist around her neck?" She gave Sybil a crooked grin.

( Same)

Sybil laughed a bit darkly as she stood. "Lucky for you this metal fist ain't working right. Name's Sybil, the vendor we are going to be hitting up is named Razad. Besides where is your sense of adventure. " She said as she held out her normal hand in way of greeting. She had a feeling this might come back to bite her in the butt, but she was going to take a chance.

Lara nodded as she listened to him talk then smiled as Nemra woke, stretched and jumped from her shoulder to attack the meat. It was quite a show, the ferocity was a bit unexpected, but then again, she was still relatively a wild animal. First generation domesticated if she understood right. A bit like having a tiger for a pet. Speaking of which...her gaze shifted to him as he started taking his gloves off and stayed on him as he took off his helmet too.

Wow. "You look like a black panther." She said without thought then shook her head a little "Well, not entirely of course, the freckles and goatee in white breaks that pattern up a bit, as do the human-like features, but still. Hm, I wonder if the Melee are what the Japanese based anthromorphs on. That would be interesting." She chuckled a little and looked around for bowls for them to each get some of the noodles in. "Wait, are all Mellians cat-people or do some have features of other types of creatures? We have a lot of different legends on Earth about animal-people mixtures, it would be cool if some of those were based on alien encounters instead of just imagination." She was excited about it but trying to stay calm and not overwhelm him but her mind was going through all the different legends now. "Are there fish-people, like our mermaid legends? Was Atlantis real, but an alien ship instead of a fabled city?" That actually would make sense.

Sybil laughed a bit darkly as she stood. "Lucky for you this metal fist ain't working right. Name's Sybil, the vendor we are going to be hitting up is named Razad. Adele awkwardly accepting her greeting, left hand to left, then quickly pulled back. "You can call me Elead," she said, with a blunt nod. Sybil—if that is who she indeed was—might feel good and all giving out her real name, but Adele preferred to know more about someone before she trusted them even that far. After all, you never knew when someone would end up being a backstabber, especially in these godforsaken streets. So she stuck with the name she wouldn't care as much about seeing on wanted posters.
With a sweep of the arm, Adele stepped aside to let her new acquaintance by. "Lead the way," she said, lips curled into a mischievous smile.

Dorian was surprised by her tact and how she handled him basically being a big cat person, although he shouldn't have been. Given how curious she was, which true to form she started asking questions while she got two bowls for them to put their food in. He chuckled as he accepted a bowl and dished up some noodles and then took half the fruit for himself. "Those freckles are actually a burn scare from the kick back from a overheated weapon, but I suppose they are a bit like freckles. No all my kind is the same as me, cat people I guess you would call us. Its possible early humans saw us and it started the legends, we've had space flight capabilities for some time. I don't know about Atlantis, whatever that is, or mermaids. I do know there was a planet that had a bird like people, they were a small population and were very hostile so I didn't stay on there planet." He commented at he picked up the half fruit and inhaled the sweet aroma. He dove in, forgoing a spoon and just eating it straight out of the rind, he ended up getting juice all over his face and he didn't care.

(I will be playing the filler character Razad, )

Sybil didn't trust this woman at all but that was ok, she didn't have to trust her to get her help. Besides she didn't know that Sybil had more modifications then she could visibly see. She led the way to Razad vendor stall to get the info on where she was going and more then likely what she would be stealing for him. As she approached his smile made her skin crawl, she was well aware he wanted half her body for merchandise, however she was particular to having all her arms and legs and eyes. He would have to find his mechanical enhancements somewhere else. She walked up to him and slid a piece of paper across the counter to him which had the part information she needed, she had a tip that he had it but she wanted to be sure.

Razad picked it up the paper but didn't open it, he leaned on the counter and smiled at her. "Whats the matter Sybil, all business today? Whose your friend, she looks familiar, do I know her?" He grinned at them.

Sybil growled at him, "Just show me the part and get to your payment, I am not here for chit chat. And she is not important, backup."

Razad gave a dramatic sigh and flipped open the paper and let out a low whistle. "This is going to be pricey, you know this stuff isn't cheap. "

"Just show me the part!" She barked slamming her metal fist down on the counter.

Razad gave her a dark grin before turning around and picking up a small part and holding it out to her. Before she could reach for it he snatched it back to his chest. "Like I said its going to cost you. Here is the list and information on the safe house, bring me everything on the list and its yours." He said as he slid a scrap of paper to her.

Sybil snatched up the paper with a growl and stalked away.

Adele silently followed. She had never much had a need for pieces such as Sybil was after, so she looked around the stall, more than a little intrigued. Of the merchandise, that is. Adele would have been just fine if the owner wasn't there. He was a rough looking fellow, as most of them were, and she understood why Sybil hadn't been keen for this. She stepped to the side while the cyborg handed in the paper listing the part, only to be exchanged with another, lengthier one. Tossing her hair over her shoulder, she glanced behind them once more before they turned out of sight. "That's all?" She asked, with a smirk, as she glanced at the back of the paper.
