Linda took the liberty to roll up Rivers sleeve herself, though she had just been told moments ago not to touch, and pricked the skin with the syringe.River gave a small laugh at that "Erm, no,"
"Aunt Clara? How is she? I couldn't come," River saidLinda took the liberty to roll up Rivers sleeve herself, though she had just been told moments ago not to touch, and pricked the skin with the syringe.
Star shrugged, wondering whether she could speak her mind in front of the alien or not. But did it matter, anyway? They were already on a spaceship headed to who-knows-where. What would one little human be to them? Or even the aunt of Earth's only superhero.
She scratched at a nick in the metal table and stared at Linda's feet, marveling at how they bent the wrong way. She was huge, and yet she seemed to think the world of her and River. Somehow, someway, it made her feel safe. For the first time, she wasn't the odd man out. She wasn't 'Star the star' here. Just... human.
But that wouldn't last. She had to go home. Tell her aunt she was still alive. Tell the people the aliens meant no harm. She opened her mouth to say so, but no words came.
"Thank you." Was all she managed.
Linda glanced up from her syringe. She made a strange trilling noise before nodding and flashing her not-quite-right smile.
Seeker turned to River, "So, uh... you know my aunt? Why did you leave her? I mean... uh... why didn't you come to visit?"
Narti acknowledged his rudeness and was confused by his blabbering afterwards... Oh yes, he must be embarrassed about what he said, or is he just nervous around her for being an extraterrestrial? Oh, humans- such weird creatures, and difficult to understand. Whatever the case, Narti found it quite funny how unlike the other humans he was. After a few moments of silence, she ignored his first comment and spoke, "From what I was taught about you humans, your species seem to butcher a lot." Her mouth twisted into a wry smile at her strange sense of humor, "But you must not be like the rest of your species because you didn't butcher anything."Jaxson tensed up when he saw her make a fist but relaxed when she did as well. He looked up at her curiously when she asked him if he was human, its not like he looked like something else, couldn't she see he was human? Then when his eyes landed on her face and realized she really couldn't see him it made sense. Sadly he blurted out the first thing that came to him before thinking about it. "Your blind." He then slammed his hand into his forehead and groaned had he really just blurted that out. "Well what I mean is..well..uh. Yes I am human, or I am one of the new humans. Oh man I am really butchering this aren't I?" He groaned as he turned to go back into the room and hide. He doubt she would want to deal with him now given how he had just treated her.
"Green noddles?" Lara had to ask, though she was smiling at the strangeness of it. "That's interesting" She said then looked at the fruit he showed her, curious about that and nodding at his warning to ask about the food before trying any new things. That just made sense, especially given how some plants from Earth were toxic to people. "I would like to try them, just a little though. New foods should always be tried cautiously, even if they aren't toxic." What one loved to eat could upset another's system, even among humans. She smiled as she looked up to his mask again "Are you going to eat with me? Does Nemra eat the same foods you do, or does she hunt for her meals?" The old table food vs hunting for 'pets' question, it would be good to know.Dorian smiled as he watched her try to be careful not to shift Nemra too much while they walked. As the entered the kitchen he moved to a chilled unit and made a happy hum when he saw all the food in there. He noticed some human foods as well as ones he was more familiar with. He pulled out what he knew to be called pizza and laid it on a counter before turning back and grabbing a cover bowl and a handful of fruits. "There is more human foods in there besides the Pizza if you want to look. This here is, well you probably wouldn't be able to pronounce it so we will call it spicy noodles." He said as he uncovered the bowl which had a pleasant spicy fragrance that made his nose tingle a bit, the noodles were a vibrant green and were made from a unique plant native to Melee. He then turned to one of the fruits and held it out to her, it had a thick brown and green mottled rind. He split it in half with his knife to reveal a bright orange flesh that smelled sweet and tangy. "This fruit has many names, can be found on Huron and has been transplanted successfully on parts of Melee. You should be able to eat both these items if you want to try them, I know for a fact humans can ingest these with no side effects, and there are other alien foods you could eat. Always ask first though as some are toxic." He waited to see what she would do, he was hungry too but needed to think about whether or not he could trust her just yet.
(The white scarring is perfect, just what I was imagining. The white on his chin is a bit larger, fading into the black around it like on some tuxedo cats but overall really good! Thank you so much! )
( Haha! Well, we think you're great!Everyone has moments when they can't recall that one word)
"Which sun?" Adele asked jokingly. She sheathed her blade to make it clear she meant no harm—no immediate harm, at least. Crossing her arms, she settled against the grungy wall behind them and tilted her head, studying the dark face opposite her. She noted the strange eyes, each their own color. It took her only a moment to realize that one wasn't natural. Half and half. Same as the body—flesh and metal—which she didn't let her gaze linger too long on. She wasn't keen to be turned in as a creep—not yet, anyway. She glanced to the girl's arm. "Nice," she said, nodding slightly towards it. "Looks or necessity?" The melding work was fine. Expertly done, maybe, by the looks of it. She ran through a list of names in her head, of artisans in the more specific metal working department that she knew of.
