( Ok so the human and the alien both have to care then. I just wasn't sure if it was like a strong friendship, or if it was something they like feel or happens to them. If that makes any sense, its not something easy to explain in text. )

(Well.... the aliens aren't exactly sure what the bond is. They don't quite understand the idea. They need or sometimes want the human, but won't always take the bullet for them.)
