Bonded (a planetary RP)

"Nah, All good. Good to know he got a worthwhile death," Adele said, chuckling darkly. She pushed herself up onto a closed crate and pulled some knives from a box beside her to inspect. Held the flat of the blade to her face like a mirror. Ugh. All the station dust and grime was making her eyes red. she changed the angle, only to be more disgusted with her station filth. "Thanks for your permission, but I woulda taken what I wanted anyway," she said honestly. Why skirt around the truth if it benefitted nobody. "I think you have a soft spot for the man," she added, teasing, noting the disgust clearly written across Sybil's face.

Sybil chuckled at her earlier comments, she liked Adele and her honesty. For a Feral she wasn't half bad, she thought to herself. Her face sobered and turned dark at the insinuation that she could like any part of Razad. "He is a blight and if he didn't make himself as useful as he does I would pull his spine out and use it for decoration." She said darkly as she imagined what his spine could be used as. A coat rack perhaps, a lamp? Or maybe a back scratch-er.

Adele set the blade aside—cheap, not worth the space it would take from more prettier and more useful weapons. "Is he really all that useful?" She said, raising her brow. "I mean, he overcharges, he smells to the highest heavens, looks like cat crap, and you seem to have a mutual dislike for each other, excepting the goods you gain: money and tools. Can't ya find the specific items elsewhere from some'un more deserving of your coins?" She listed the negatives on one dusty and blood splattered hand, the other she stuck a couple fingers up for the positives.

"Hes a weasel and I agree with all of your points. However he somehow seems to always have the parts I need, plus he has eyes everywhere and always has details on the goings on. And for all his negatives, he never deals in slaves, which is the main reason I still deal with him." Sybil said with a sigh as she rolled her eyes at her own stupidity, Adele was right she really should just find a new supplier.

"Pity all the best suppliers are stinkin lyin thieves," Adele said, clicking her tongue in dismay. She hopped off the crate and adjusted the lid that had shifted with the movement. She said pity, but she didn't much care, to be honest. She dealt dirtily in trade as well so it was just one thief accusing another. "You disagree with the slave trading?" She asked, glancing over at Sybil as she dug moved through the narrow room.

Dorian was happy she wanted to be friends with him and Nemra but he wasn't sure she got it really. Then again he didn't really get it fully either. "I don't know if you understand, its a full time job, life time commitment. Where I go, you would go. I don't know the specific exactly because I've never had one, but that's the idea of it. You might want to speak to someone who knows more before you decide. Perhaps Erin, she was bonded and would know all that it entails." He said to her, he didn't want to scare her away but he wanted her to understand what he meant.
Lara listened again, frowning at little at the lifelong part, but then that would make sense if they came all the way to Earth for bonds. "Alright, I guess I can talk to her about it, if that'll make you feel better. Probably best to do that anyway, know what to expect and all that." Besides, now she was more curious herself.

Skyler leaned on her arms as she looked at him. "All the more reason to get some, its always nice to have a favorite food aboard. As to the human foods, that would mostly be Linda's doing. When she heard we were picking up a bunch of humans she insisted we increase the amount and type of available food rations. Some of the crew enjoy certain human foods so we keep those all the time, it was not too big a hassle to pick up some more." She said simply as she leaded back then and pulled out one of her knives and began tossing it up into the air and catching it as she spoke to him.
Frosty nodded as he watched Skyler throwing the knives. "Cool knives. When's the last time you used them?" he asked suddenly. He glanced out the window of the ship and flew unto a box.
"Does it look like I like it?" River asked sarcastically "No."

"But you are going to stay up here on my shoulder, aren't you? Because you are a good human."

"Do I have a choice?" River asked

The Siri grinned, "Nope."
But as soon as she said it, she regretted it. Weren't her parents just the same? They wouldn't give their humans a choice but to serve them. Steadying River's feet with a hand as she walked, she wondered about this. The traditional Siri way was to just swoop in and say, 'you're mine, so get over it.' But wasn't there a human way of doing that? She had heard that, when american youths like the same things, they often claim each other openly, and sometimes rambunctiously. Something along the lines of 'he may be an idiot, but he's my idiot!' or 'yep! I like this one, this one' mine!' As to why they thought that calling each other by put-downs was endearing, Linda had never known. Perhaps it had something to do with sarcasm that they so abused.
It crossed her mind that this fierce girl could be her Bond, but she pushed it away. This had been for Crow, anyway. And besides that River had given her multiple cues that she did, in fact, dislike her.

River grinned slightly "Didn`t think so but 'oh so great miss Linda' where in the wor- places are you taking me?" River asked sarcastically

Linda flinched as she was brought out of her thoughts, "Oh, I ton't know. Where to you want to go? The weapons room? The training room? You've already seen the med bay and the loading dock..."

(Should I buy some, perhaps?)
At the entrance to the room, Linda bent at the knees so as not to knock River's head on the doorway, then strode inside and knelt down to let the girl off. "Now, let's see what you're made of, shall we?"

(@RoostersAreAwesome you can either follow these two or go to the cargo hold where Erin is dancing like... bad...)
Crow shrugged as he watched Linda walk away with River and walked down the corridors. He saw a human dancing around. What is that human doing? he thought, bewildered.

Sybil shook her head. "No I do not like the slave trade, I was a slave, and not even a well treated slave. Expensive but not well treated. So no I do not like the slave trade one bit. I've met humans who were acquired and treated well, who were happy. I am fine with that, and with the places that treat us humans with some respect. But the cramped pens where we are kept worse then animals, those make me sick." She said with disgust, she had come from one such market. She was bought young, that was important to her former master. She often wondered what she would have been like if given a different life, even a different master.

(tell ya what if we ever decide to bond either of these characters up they are seriously like perfect for each other. They are both nuts, murderous, and enjoy dark humor. )

"Alright, I guess I can talk to her about it, if that'll make you feel better. Probably best to do that anyway, know what to expect and all that." Besides, now she was more curious herself.

Dorian nodded at that, though he saw her frown and hoped he hadn't ruined his chances. " That would make me feel better, I don't agree with the whole buying of humans for bonding purposes. I feel like if you are going to have a bond they should have an equal share in things. A say in whether or not they want to. " He said with a smile, he supposed his ideals were a bit progressive among some of the aliens he knew.

Frosty nodded as he watched Skyler throwing the knives. "Cool knives. When's the last time you used them?" he asked suddenly. He glanced out the window of the ship and flew unto a box.

"Oh these? I used this set I think a week ago. Sadly it was for target practice and not something more exciting. Had this set custom made but haven't had a chance to use them since I got them." Skyler replied with a wistful sigh, she didn't get off the ship to do real missions to much these days. When was the last time she had done a hit? The last thug she had beaten down? Far too long in her books.

Crow shrugged as he watched Linda walk away with River and walked down the corridors. He saw a human dancing around. What is that human doing? he thought, bewildered.
She started recalling the words from the boy's music player. It had been annoying at the time, those silly lyrics blaring as she tried to nap.

But how long I say? How long had it been since she had heard human music? How long had she been depressed? This wasn't like her at all. But, then again, what girl sees the death of one friend and murder of a next in one day? At age 13, she should be worried about makeup and boys and sleepovers. Now this mere dancing- if one could call it that- seemed outlandish.

Erin burst out what she could remember,
"I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist!
Like it doesn't exist!
Keep my glass full until morning light.
Won't look down,
I won't open my eyes.
Help me I'm holding ON for dear life
I am just holding on for tonight
On for tonight-"

So loud was she, that she didn't notice the dark-headed boy standing there until she stumbled over a compressor. She stared up at him.
