Bonding with chickens

I have a maran chick (mix?) (1 month old) and I want to raise her so that I can show her at fairs and contests. She is not aggressive, but I want to keep her calm so she is relaxed and well behaved. How can I bond with/train her? Also, every time I take her somewhere away from her other chicken siblings/friends she will not stop looking for them and chirping for them. Is there anyway to make her feel calm when she is not with the other chicks?

Does she have a friend? Try holding her for short periods of times several times a day. Talk in a sweet calm voice and let her come to you without you chasing her down

We have 3 other chicks with her that are different breeds. She also plays with my dwarf rabbit and they get along well. When I play with her she likes to sit on my leg or my neck
