Bonding with older chickens

Hello! New members with new family members. We are real new into this, and have been looking over the forums for a little while. Would like some advise. We just brought home a few 2-yo Bluff Orpingtons and are wanting to know the best way our family can bond with them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Buff Orpingtons are generally pretty mellow birds. Move slowly and talk softly around them. Hand feed them (rather than ad lib feeding) so that they come to associate you with feed. Treats such as mealworms, crickets even bits of bread can help in the socializing process. Good luck, and enjoy them.
