BooHoo, first eggs and sad (update, happy!!!)

Yesterday no eggs, but TODAY

Henry sat in the nestbox for over an hour, we watched on camera, then she got up and bock-bocked very loudly. You should have seen my DH and I running for the chicken house to tell her what a good girl she is

So her it is, so perfect and not even all that small! The one on the left is hers, the right is a wooden egg.

How exciting ! I am happy for you. I remember how proud I felt when my little silkie laid her first egg last fall. You would have thought I laid it..LOL. I saved it in a little box. Kind of like saving your baby's shoes....silly...huh? Did you guess that all of my kids only wear feathers and fur?
