Border Collie...mutt??

I *think* that if you imagine the traditional border collie colors on her face you would not see German shepherd at all. She doesnt have that little hump in her nose and her snout is very thin like a border. I say no GSD, it's an illusion!

A (very rough) look at the same dog with traditional BC colors in case it is helpful:

I am thinking pure BC. I envy you-----I have been wanting a BC for over a year, but have to wait until we don't have our GSD-------she's 10. There's a beautiful male BC at the shelter near me-----oh how I wish I could adopt him!

She doesnt have the build for a german shepard, the dark muzzle spot is just unique. She has a very good working
border collie build, but looks very slightly coarser in build than a very typey border collie. That said there are plenty of
purebred border collies with coarser builds so she might just be an off colored mutation. I'm guessing she has one purebred border collie parent and the other is
border collie and half some kind of hunting hound, that has blue ticking. If you ignore the semi-prick ears and rough coat something
about her carriage and lankiness is quite as slinky as border collies. I would be interested to know more about her behavior and
what kind of bark she has???

the pic with the close up of her face shes very alert in, her ears normally flop, she had a bark, barks just like the other border collie my grandparents have. she dosent have a thick coat of fur like most border collies, we were thinking maby she has australian cattle dog in her.

She looks BC to me.

"While a group of one hundred Border Collies will probably look as if they belong to the same breed, they will not have a uniform appearance. Since a "good" dog can be judged only by its herding performance, there is no "breed standard" of appearance to which Border Collies should conform. In general, they are of medium size (25-55 pounds), with coats that may be smooth, medium, or rough. Colors are black, black with tan, and, less common, reddish-brown, all usually with white markings. Predominantly white Border Collies and merles, though unusual, also occasionally appear." from http://www.bordercollie.org/basics/characteristics.html

Ours is BC and many people think she is an Aussie or even a Blue Heeler.
