Bored chickens

What are some good tips on keeping my chickens occupied? until they are let to the feild at about 12:00 pm, i heard about putting honey on a stick then dunking it in their feeding and letting them muck around with that, any suggestion would be GREAT

. Also they seem to be getting bored with the mixed grain im giving them, should i change my feed soon? THANKS

I'm very new to chickens but, here it goes: aluminum tin plates hung from the rafter to peck at, swinging roost, things to stand on at different levels, perches by windows so they can look out, food dispensers. BUT, why not just get an automatic chicken door so they can just go outside at dawn?

I got mine a German Shepherd. Great toy! They love taking her kefir milk away from her when she is eating dinner.
Although, they will do it to all of my dogs. The dogs know, you dont fight over kefir........ someone will loose and eye!

thanks great, and i let my chickens out of their roost at 6:00am but just them out of their run into the feild to free range. but some great ideas thanks
