Oh, I'm not doubting that he'd be happier with his flock! But, as you did with your duck with the eye infection you brought him in and kept him warm, clean and safe so he could heal which he did thankfully.

All I was saying was you should do that and not just leave him outside where his flock mates might start picking at him, get his wounds dirty and hope for the best.

Unfortunately my guy still has is gooey eye. We may need another trip to the vet : (

She’s doing so much better! The vet said she’s lucky to be alive! Even luckier to not be paralyzed since her spinal cord was exposed!!! This is her second attack poor girl. I swear she has nine lives lol

This is the wound now. Don’t mind the yellow feathers as that is the ointment that is put on twice a day.

Brought her outside today, but everyone is still afraid of her. I have ducklings due to hatch on Saturday. I’m hoping that will maybe cheer her up.

Bless her heart. Maybe after she looks like a normal duck again they will again accept her. I hope so. Another reason to keep her away from the flock most of the time with out supervision is sure don’t a drake trying to breed her and grabbing her in that injury.,

I’m hoping. She’s always been an outcast though Bc she has deformities to her face from the previous attack. Maybe the ducklings will like her better lol. Yes, always supervised!
