Born with predator fear

My pullet, Nancy, I'm guessing I'd about 6 weeks old. I got her about 1 week ago and she lives in my van with me. Whenever she sees the mockingbird outside the window she growls. How does she know this is a predator without her mom teaching her? She's a hatchery chicken.

Instinct. Nancy might be a cockerel, they will sound the alarm when something flies over or near them, they will even sound the alarm if they hear wing beats.

X2 @Kessel23 My rooster, who just turned a year old, alarm calls at every bird that flies overhead. Robins, sparrows, doves...geese send him into a nervous breakdown! But he is starting to differentiate the difference. I'm sure Nancy will, too. Or Nancy could be a Ned...
