BOSS okay for Ducks?

In the chicken section of BYC I keep seeing where everyone feeds their chickens BOSS. Can ducklings/ducks also eat BOSS? BOSS is Black Oiled Sunflower Seeds.

BOSS, some scratch, oats, hard wheat are all mixed into the all flock and layer pellets. Chickens, ducks and geese all eat this blend. We don't give it to young birds ever. Oyster shell and grit always available. We also have game bird feed for young birds and the peahen.

I should have mentioned I have 3 wk old chicks and 4 wk old ducklings in coop together. Am I understanding it right, not to feed them BOSS until they are several months old, or full grown? Thanks for your answers to this!

i put oats, wheat, black oiled sunflowers, timithy pellets and alfalfa pellets in to streach the feed for my ducks, turkeys, chickens and goats
