They love the pond. Still need to build them a house. They are in their watermelon box haha. Which seems to work fine. I have noticed the panting anymore which is good. How hot is it where you are? Nice set up

Hi and welcome to BYC! Your set up looks pretty good so far. I like your nest boxes made out of buckets. Do you have any more plywood or something to build a simple A-frame shelter for shade? They might hang out under there if they get too hot.

I feel so bad...we're back into the 90's here in Seattle and my poor babies are so warm! I'm giving them up to 2 baths a day now but I can only let 'em go diaperless in the house for so long. Can't mist in the house 'cuz we got a lot of electronics. I've taken to taping frozen water bottles onto my rotating fan!

Yeah my two play in pond pretty much all day due to the heat and dry off in shade and nap then go to their brooder at night. happy big ducks let me tell ya haha.
