Don't have them disbudded if they are older. When we first got goats many moons ago, the vet told us we could have them dehorned and it caused nothing but problems later on when terrible scurs grew back that started to grow into the head. These guys were close to weaning age and the vet never should have recommended we do that. It should be done at a much younger age to prevent growth in the future.
Our goats were wethers and we bottle fed them and they made excellent pets. Just be sure to discourage head butting with humans!
