I have 8 hens, 2 brown leghorn, 2 RIR, 2 Silver Wyandotte, and 2 Araucana. One of the Araucana hens is at "the bottom" of the pecking order. Lately it has gotten worse. I put a saddle on her back that gave her some relief for a few days but now they are pulling feathers and pecking her closer to the tail and vent area not covered by the saddle! It is not pretty. I made her a new saddle today that gives more coverage. Pretty soon she will be in a sack!

Will this ever let up? It makes me so sad!! and MAD!!

I would take her right out from there. I have one at the bottom too and they bug her, but they have not caused any visible signs...just seems to be bullying. But if i saw one single would, i would take her out.
Good Luck....it aint easy.
