bought a cabinet incubator and want to do continual hatches

Ok so the humidity has an effect on adding more humidity? I have heard this but I also am wondering how big of a sponge?

Ok so the eggs have been in the incubator since the 26 and the humidity has been 53 and the temp stays 99.5 to 99.8. It is so nice to actually have a nice incubator that is working like a champ. the turners are awesome as is the auto top off so I dont have to open the bator hardley at all. I am wondering when the best day to set another batch would be. I am going to be getting some more eggs from a local guy and am wanting to set them on the most convenient day. Would every 7 be the best or every 10 or what? Just wondering because I dont want to interupt the lock down and hatching of the chicks.

I set mine every 7 days. I put them in on Sunday night an take the hatched chicks out at the same time. I don't throw out the other eggs till later but usually the ones that are going to hatch have by then. I do run mine a little warm to though.

Yes , I set mine weekly, keep humdity same, place eggs in hatching tray last 3 days , and add a sponge. Wet it each day.

With the sportsman...all that lock down is not needed. Not like the small styrofoam incubaters, they recover temp ,and humidity QUICK. Plus i think if you open it to add water to sponge....it also gives them fresh air.

I have many and a hatchers , still hatch some in the incubator at same time, no need for two unless you want to hatch incubator full at one time.
