My last batch of eggs in that same incubator only hatched 1 baby button. I was curious about the other 11 eggs so I opened them all and discovered they had each partially developed but then quit along the way. There was a few that had even developed feathers ... poor little critters... sigh. I don't know what happened to them but I'm blaming the incubator because it's near impossible to keep the moisture up or down at the proper levels without constantly opening it especially during lockdown, plus you have to turn them by hand .. and the temp gage on mine was all wrong as well.

I'm surprised to hear someone else hatched SIX at one time in that thing! wow!

Seems my quail egg incubation experiment died. Two eggs on day 17 and still no lif eor peeping from the eggs. As a result - Ordered some quail eggs from a local farmer - $20 worth

I believe it's $2 a dozen, if anyone is interested and you're in the Winnipeg/Birds Hill Park area. And she delivers to Winnipeg if you order 10 dozen or more! I'll be nipple deep in quail eggs for a while!

sorry to hear that, @Vampiric_Conure .. hopefully you'll have better luck with the new eggs. Are they button quail or coturnix? I actually hatch my very first - one and only - coturnix chick in that same incubator - he was sooooo sweet ..

Did anyone else notice that the incubator was labeled Mini Inteligent 7 Egg Incubator, with the word intelligent misspelled?

Don't get me wrong, I hope you get some cute fuzzy little chicks, but last year I found out that using a good incubator increased my hatch rates. Best of luck!

LOL... Yes, I did notice but it didn't sink in until you mentioned it ! (I'm not the brightest wick on the menorah at times...) I have plans for an incubator - a better one - once I can find the cash for one.

I got my new set of hatching eggs! They're currently sitting in a egg carton until they're warm enough to plop in the incubator. While I wait for that to happen, I had some quail egg sandwiches for lunch. Yummy!
