Ameraucanas have a standard of perfection, and also come in specific colors with specific traits. EEs are mutts that lay blue eggs.

I think I got an Americana in the welsummer batch as well let me take a picture

Americana = EE.
Ameraucana from breeder = pure.

My favourite author. He has a very dry sense of humour.

Ameraucana are a pure breed, spelt specifically like that.
Any misspellings of that are EE and therefore mutts.
