Bought as Ameraucanas but.....

I started my flock as chicks I purchased from a seller who claimed the birds were purebred blue Ameraucanas (I also purchased "wheaten" chicks which don't seem consistent with breed standards, not pictured). The wheaten hens lay pretty mint green eggs, and the "blue Ameraucana" hens lay light blue eggs. (The hens had nice full beards and muffs, but in this picture you'll see some thinning do to heat, or over-grooming?) What say you, Ameraucana experts? Were my chicks misrepresented? Should I stop calling these guys Ameraucana chickens and refer to them as "Easter Eggers" instead?

Your hen looks like my EE. I believe both are EEs. Neither are Blue in color.

If you look at the roo he has white wing feathers with a darker red.

These don't fit the standard for Ameraucanas. The rooster's color/pattern doesn't fit. The hens color is a little off and if she laying a green egg that also disqualifies her to be an Ameraucana.

The chicks I purchased as "wheatens" are the ones laying the mint green eggs. So I've definitely decided those birds are easter eggers.

The hen in question lays a light blue egg, but I agree that her coloring isn't quite consistent with Ameraucana standards.

I really didn't know much about chickens when I first started, so I guess I was easily fooled by "Ameraucana" chicks, lol. I suspected these chickens weren't consistent with breed standard, but thought I'd get y'all's two cents before I started referring to them as easter eggers

Ok I misread that. So yes, if your Wheatens are laying green eggs then they are Easter Eggers. This hen "and the rooster" could be out of Ameraucanas but they themselves don't quite fit the standard. The "blue" hen has good traits and if you found a good rooster she could produce offspring that may fit the standard.
