That does look like an Orpington, but my Whiting's True Blue have varied colors in the feathers, so I wouldn't give up just yet.

Yea, they kind of get people that way, saying they are Rainbow layers. It is a mix of various breeds not necessarily various "colored egg" layers. I checked on the site of the hatchery that sold Rainbow layers through the farm store and it said Varity of large breed brown egg layers.I thought it would be a pretty egg layer with prettty colored eggd.. i was like oh pretty colored eggs .lol! I need intervention fot chickens..lol .
