Don’t get scared. While it is true that that happens, good care goes a long way toward keeping them fit and healthy. You will find a lot of folks here have these birds and they are 5 years old and up.
This is true. However they are still more likely to suffer from repro issues than other breeds. They were bred with the intention of making as many eggs as possible. Machines. They were not meant to be long living pets. Just like CX are not bred to last long.

Take good care of your girls and hopefully you'll enjoy them for many years to come.

Well I'm a brand newbie, so I hope I do all the right things. This really adds an extra level of anxiety I didnt need lol

Just keep them on a good quality feed and don't give them tons of treats. Keeping them on a healthy diet will help the most.
