Bought some Welsummers and Barred Rocks yesterday

My dad and I went to and bought some really nice Welsummer chicks and I bought a few barred rock chicks. These were really nice chicks and seem very healthy. We bought all the Welsummers he had at the time (36) and think we came out with about 12 roosters and 24 pullets, give or take one or two. I am now officially chicken poor with 45 chicks, 18 grown chickens, 5 turkeys and 11 guineas.

Wow, that's a lot of wellie chicks! Congrats!

I'm eagerly awaiting my first wellie egg. They're almost 23 weeks old.

checked on my babies last night and they are doing great. Only problem is I put the barred rocks in with all my day old chicks together and forgot about the black sex links and barred rocks until after I combined them. Now can't tell which one is which. Guess I will have to wait two or three weeks to know for sure. Really like these Welsummers. beautiful like chicks and nice birds when grown.
