Hello
It's starting to get VERY cold here
When it was warm, I took the little chicks(5) into the run of our almost-done coop at the backyard. They became curious at first, but they soon played around. They like pecking and scratching on the ground, and look for bugs. They can also finally stretch because they're kinda cramped in the brooder. I keep a lookout for predators so they will feel secure. I also put a small can with holes on either sides for them to go in and go out. They can smell fresh air.
But, I noticed something strange about the chicks
2 of them came near me and they sit on the ground. Both of them were looking at me. They suddenly do a strange bouncing while they're sitting; it was like a squat; up and down, up and down. To my surprise the rest started doing it; sit, bounce, up and down. I thought it was cute and funny at first, but I started to worry. What does this mean? Please help; I'm scared. When I put them back in the brooder, they all became silent and seemed to want to go back outside.
Thanks in advance!
