My Guinea layed a tiny egg this morning (her first egg!). It was super small and had a shell that was squishy. And my husband went to throw it into the dog dish and it BOUNCED!! Lol!

My question is, is this normal for a bird that's just getting started? Or is she missing something from her diet?

Thanks all!

That is normal for birds who just start laying. It takes a little while for their system to get on track. I don't have guineas, so I'm not sure if they can have oyster shell. I'm thinking yes. Oyster shell is a great source of calcium, and it helps give poultry's eggs stronger shells.
