Bowel Vent function return in spinal cord injuries

This is 2nd time I've had a chicken with traumatic SCI (predator) resulting in loss of bowel/vent motility. 1st time was worse, cockerel was actually hemiparetic (1 side almost paralyzed) and although able to walk 1 month later, still required total manual evacuation of bowels, so culled

This time the pullet is much more valuable; she can stand, walk with difficulty but has the atonic vent thing going. Will this heal? How long?
