Yeah it was that one. i am not sure what set her off, as I didnt find anything there that offensive, but she was offended and thats too bad. I tried to tell her that the mods do what they do for the good of all, and I haven't heard back yet.

Wow, thats too bad if that was the one. I didnt think the responses were that negative. But ok, I hope she reconsiders and doesnt take it to hart, but people do have opinions too. ( PS, i wasnt one of them though )

Yeah, what Nifty said,

I also need to learn to read what I type before I click that "Submit" button.

I couldn't find the thread, but if it was anti-Republican, yeah I'm offended too

I should have read that one better huh?

The word that comes to mind is "respect" for other peoples' opinions, even when different or even diametrically opposed to your own. You can debate, discuss, even disagree and if you do it with "respect" without becoming too emotionally involved, it's amazing how much one can learn from another. When emtion starts to trump reason, then the balance goes out the window and someone is likely to get upset, beyond reason of course.
My two cents worth, for what it's worth, perhaps just about that but wanted to contribute in a positive and constructive way if possible.
Thanks!

If someone posts a "political" post, they have no business making another post complaining some people weren't nice when they replied. Personally I think you were just looking for an arugment then and are now. I have no sympathy for you.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Hopefully:

1) Krista will come back and enjoy full membership in our flock

2) We can do all we can to not offend others, even unintentionally

3) We can do all we can to not take offense from others

On a side note, it is for this reason that we (the staff) are always a hair away from banning certain heated topics on this forum. We are optimistic about our members abilities to moderate themselves, but when we are proven otherwise we are forced to take action.

Help us to keep this forum as open and friendly as possible. Be friendly and courteous to all and take everything with a few grains of salt... unless you are on a low sodium diet... in that case just don't be offended by anything you read.
