bugladyleah, come the first of February 2009 or so, I would like to get a few eggs from you. The Ag Teacher at our school wants to do a project on incubation and had not had luck doing that in the past. I of course have mastered the art of incubation (or is that the disease of incubation) and told him I would help him out. Anyway, if you could keep my info and let me know when you get a few of a few varieties, that would be so cool to get them started on a batch of babies. Do you have any ducks too, we want them to see how different varieties progress and such. What do you think.

I would be interested in your eggs i the spring if you would keep me in mind, thanks

Thanks Karanleaf! With another 82 eggs in my incubators, I'm expecting a lot more cute fuzzies in the next few weeks. These ones were my first hatches from mailed eggs. Then I got this addiction problem...

My name is Claire and I'm addicted to hatching eggs...

Hi everyone....thanks for the kind words and all the great pics, Chooks!!! Love the names, too (and yes, I have some solid white and solid buff hens, so your baby might be either).

As far as spring goes, I will certainly keep everyone in mind and start emailing when I have eggs available. If you don't hear from me, please PM or email me, as sometimes things get lost in the shuffle.

Also, I will also have chocolate and fawn & white indian runner duck eggs, Sebastopol geese eggs, India blue peafowl eggs, Black shoulder peafowl eggs, cuckoo maran, black langshan and welsummer eggs availabe in the spring. Also working on copper black marans & wyandottes, probably have these on a limited basis.

Thanks again!!

Leah

Hey guys...don't feel bad. I have a bator full of eggs due to start hatching in about 2 weeks.....and I am in PA!!! So...chicks in the house for me......stinky stinky stinky!!

LOL

They are in the house for me too, But I got a large 5 by 5 foot brooder a couple of weeks ago with a thermostat in it and heat lamp sockets. I am planning on moving chicks to there at about 5 or 6 weeks. It will be in our outbuilding, which isn't heated, but with the lamps, i think they'll be fine.

Not sure exactly when I can integrate with the adults. Maybe around 20 weeks?
