Boy am i Sick of all this! RANT and long.

not a renter. it was our place till we sold it to him under a land contract. he said we had until june to vacate the premises. by tomorrow we will be out of this place. too bad my chicken coop isn't even started for over at the other place. poor things. i will be making a temporary thing though. deer fencing and the old lawn mower shed. im just sick over the whole thing. the plants were all my Hubby's grandmas. so i'm not sure i can put a value on them. the only plants DH planted were his day lilies. not sure what the laws are regarding this situation. im just happy it will be over soon.

Thewn the big question is who currently holds the title. Have you closed on the property? If so, it is his; if not, it is still yours. However, it sonetimes happens that a property closes before the seller is ready to move and he will stay on, becoming a renter and paying so much per day (usually about 1/30th of the monthly mortgage payment). Sometimes it is the other way round and a purchaser wants to move in before closing.

In any case, you are almost certainly protected by tenants rights laws if he holds title. If you still hold title, then he was WAY off his mark.

For determining the value of the plants. first, try to find out if there are any viable roots remaining. Then the cost of digging them up in as good a condition as possible should be his. Next, call the best nursery in your area (or the closest large city) and explain the situation. Mention that these were heritage plants, and provide them with photos, size and age information, then ask them to provide you with an estimated value to replace them.

im not sure exactly who holds title. as my hubby is the one who deals with all that. we bought it from my DH's grandma under a land contract. we had a *deed* type thing before we actually paid it off. then when we paid it off we got the *real deed*. so im not sure how it's going now. it's all a bit confusing to me. and since it was all understood in the beginning how things were gonna go i thought he understood too since he's the one who said we had till june and last time i checked june is still a bit away. i'm just gonna suck the plant issue up and walk. at the new place there are plenty of plants. (same that were here but not sure on color) im not even sure where Grandma got these plants or anything. i just liked how pretty they were. im sad that i didn't get to keep the peony that was here. i had planned on digging that up and bringing it with, tho not sure where id have put it. there is nothing visible of it. i can't even find where it was. ugh.

Oh wow. I am sorry you are having so much stress.
