Boy or girl cat??

Is this a boy or girl cat? I don't know why it's so hard for me with this one but I'm guessing it's cause he/she is black. I don't know please help!

How old is the cat?
It appears to be a young male due to the two puffy spots below the anus (those would be his developing scrotum) - but I have had a couple females with particularly puffy hind ends that would almost pass for a young male at a quick glance. Is the area beneath that fur flush with the surrounding area or is there a palpable bump on each side?

Looks male to me but hard not to tell in person.

He is probably around a year old. I was thinking that he was a neutered male but I wasn't positive. And haha I know it's kind of weird to look at a cats butt lol

What is the shape of the actual opening below the anus (behind the fuzz)?

Looks like a male. Trick of the trade is if there is enough room for a pencil between the anus and the urethral opening, it's a boy! Looks like I might see testicles though...May be worth it to ask a vet to confirm by feeling!
