Hi there, I've got two 15wk old Aylesbury ducks. One is definitely a girl, very noisy, the other is really quiet and I'm convinced a boy but the tail feathers show no sign off curling. Is it just as likely that it's a shy girl? Confused.com

Boys are raspy and girls quack. If it is not quacking by that age it is a boy. Usually tails will curl around 14-16 weeks but sometimes it takes longer or their feather got pulled out at some point. They also can curl overnight so I would be surprised in the next few weeks if all of a sudden it just shows up.

Guess I'm going to have to think off a different name (he's currently called Lily lol!) Mylo is definitely quacking away but have never heard this one make a noise! Happy out! I really wanted a boy and a girl! Been reading up and is it true there's not really 'Aylesbury' ducks anymore? Feel a bit silly, should I be saying 'big white ducks' lol!

Alylesbury are a breed but it is hard to come by. If they are big white birds I bet they are Perkins or jumbo Perkins :) pekins are very sweet.

Interesting! I guess that's it they're massive! So timid, they didn't know what had hit them when the hens arrived lol!
