Boy or girl??

Hello!

I'm new to all of this and a bit of an idiot.

Can anyone help me? Is my beloved Kevinetta Peepers a BOY?? She is supposed to be a standard light brahma hen. She is 4.5 months old and very polite. She is just now attempting to make the most comical/ghastly sounds....is she trying to crow or lay an egg???

I live within city limits and have my fingers crossed that she is in fact a girl. I would hate to give her up!

! He is a very pretty rooster. He's working on his crow, which is what those sounds are. It takes them awhile to get it right!

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I too have to say you have a rooster there. He is beautiful and the noise you describe is the practice crow. I've had some terrible ones when they first start to crow. Right now I have one that sounds like, I can only describe it as a clown crow.
