Boy or Girl

Hi, I bought 5 Production Red's, 5 Buff Orpington's & 4 Barred Rock pullets from Tractor Supply a week ago today. They told me that they were less than 3 days old at the time & that there was a 10% chance that there could be a couple of boys in the group. The BR's look a little older than the others but this little guy or gal has quite the attitude which makes me think that I might have a rooster. I am just curious as to what you guys think this baby is? He or she is I'm guessing a couple of weeks old. The 2 together look like girls to me? The Production Red's tail feathers are just barely showing, a tiny bit of fuzz. Does that mean anything?I'm new to keeping chickens, these are my first. Also, when should I move them out to the coop & when should they start laying? Thanks in advance.

Too young still to know for sure. Chick behavior has little correlation with gender. Also, it appears your "Barred Rock" is actually a Cuckoo Marans with those pink legs.

Fuzz simply indicates your little redhead is sprouting a tail. Nothing to worry about!

Not going to lie that’s not a BR however I’m sure you’ll still be happy with your cuckoo marans!
I love them and use them in a blue sex link project myself. Post more pictures in a few weeks and I’m sure everyone will just on helping!

My cuckoos started laying around 20 weeks but every chicken is different.
