i have a 6-10 week old Rhode Island Red and I was wondering if it’s a boy or girl. It keeps picking fights with my black Americana cockerel that’s the same age.

Thank you!! For future reference- how can you tell?

Given the age, that's a huge and bright colored comb. Pullets of the same age would have much smaller combs and they would be light pink to orange in color. Any reddening at this age, and comb size, indicates cockerel.
I don't look at the behavior at this age, since both pullets and cockerels will chest bump and pick fights with each other. Its how they establish pecking order and dominance.

Are you sure on age? Looks like a lot of fluff on the head still, for being 6-10 weeks old. Can you take a side shot of the bird while it’s standing? I agree that the one may very well be male bc comb seems large with coloring, but the pics aren’t showing everything. By 12 weeks saddle feathers will become apparent.

Wow, this is my first time having chickens. Usually I stick with ducks, but I'm learning how cool chickens actually are. It cracks me up when they bump chest like "what bro? come at me bro!" Lol. Thank you!

Well, I can't be sure on the age, but I got them at Tractor Supply exactly 4 weeks ago. I took a picture of the day I got them (in this reply). I guessed by internet research that they were 2 weeks old here. But this is my first time raising chickens. I am duck girl. But I'm really loving these chickens too. Also, I'm at work now, so I'll have to take a picture of it's side & back later. Thank you so kindly for the help!!
