I bought 10 3 week old chicks back in March that where suppose to be all pullets. I've already rehomed 5 cockreals. There are 2 that are laying eggs and these 3 I think are roos. Could I get some help deciding. If they're roos, they will be getting rehomed this weekend.

Thank you and the second one is my favorite also. The roo chases the black one and the splash one away when it's feeding time. I was really thinking they where roos because of that. I'm glad they're not.

well...you went for sexed pullets but got more like the average 50/50 straight run. at least you got half of what you expected!

I actually let the man I got them from pick them out. If I had done the choosing I know I would have gotten all pullets. The ones he claimed where girls that I had doubts about where cockerels. These three I originally thought where girls till the roo kept chasing them away and one of them was sparring with my Black Orphington through the wire. I came to the conclusion the BO is a girl. They must have been having an argument that day. lol She will grab the silkies by their crest and hold them up sometimes. I think she thinks it's funny. She will just pick them up then drop them back down.

Well, they are all laying. The splash one laid her first today and it's white. My only white egg layer. Well besides the long tails. She needs practice on her song though. lol

What color is the second one concidered. She sure is pretty. Her eggs are a light brown. Almost look pink next to the green ones.
