12 weeks. What's the age??? Unless its are younger than 5 or 6 months that's 100 percent a cockeral.... By the way, the chicken looks different in each pic...
When roosters begin to crow it sounds like someone killing a cat. That's how mine sounded like at least.
Whatever breed she is she is cute. I have an Americana with same color legs.(I just realized I posted this in the wrong place this morning--sorry). This is Julia (I hope). She made an ungodly sound this weekend . . . I am terrified it was the beginnings of a cockadoodledoo. I was told she was a buff orpington, but since my Ameraucana and silkie are not, I'm guessing she's not either. She is 6 weeks old. Thanks for any ideas you might have on the gender. We're not allowed to have roosters, so I am hoping she's a she!
It kind of sounds like he's choking on his breakfast. High pitched, squealy squeaks. No mistaking it's not a normal sound. lol!I've never heard a bird learning to crow, so I really have no idea . . . it was just a very different noise than the sweet peeps they make.
