Boys VS Girls

In the wild, mom is smart enough to take them out and warm them up in a very timely mannor. OR, do what we do, right before its time to clean the tub, run it with nice hot water, let them swim while you clean their box/brooder, then give them a little wrap with a towel, and back into the brooder to bake dry. They are good (at a week) for this, but be sure to dry them a bit, and keep their brooder warm and clean for after word, you don't want a bunch of wet ducks making mega muck..... Then, I pour a cup of bleach into their water, let it set 2-3 minutes (or longer) and then clean as usual. They leave a ring, but the bleach knocks it out and cleans germs up.

Ya, AK is good/bad for poultry Good- most diseases/fleas and stuff, die in winter Bad- winter cold! cant wait to get our duckies! their so cute, we have a small pond and we have them swim in it! So cute, but our feed store said not to let them swin until they are older..? doesnt make sense since in the wild the duckies follow the mom in the water

Well bleach isnt good for us, we have bad water, and the pond is outside and we only let them swim in it in the summer, course our water is cold! but they dont seem mind. And when they go in the pond they are old enough to live outside, so i guess they wouldnt be too cold. And if they go swimming when they DONT live outside they have a warm brooder

i want geese LOL

Wait until they are fully feathered out then. It'll only take a month or so.
