What kind of horses do you have Jallny? And a first time chicken owner too, thats great! What chickens did you get?

We have 1 quarter horse and 1 thoroughbred, both rescues. We were supposed to get all pullets (we got a cockerel mixed in), which all turned out to be Tetra Tints. We have been researching chickens for years and finally got them, and out of everything this site has been the most helpful

It ususally is, but we have our off days too! I'm glad you have rescue horses. We are pet rescue folks too. I don't have horses anymore though. I was raised with them.

I've never tried the Tetra Chickens. Are they good layers?

dont know, mine are only 3 months,but i have heard that they are good layers. Yes, all of our animals, other than the chicks and 1 of our 2 fish, are rescues.

yes, she was at the back of a shelf at walmart, with barely enough water to swim in. We didnt even have a tank ready but we knew we had to take her. I am not usually good with first impressions, it is just the kind of person am, but i am usually better once i get to know some one.
