CL - I was wondering. My mom had something call auericanas ( I don't them americanas) which laid blue or green or pink or white eggs. We got loads of green eggs. They were little chiciens, but pretty good layers.
I keep everything but chickens. BUT I have some Old English Games and B/B/S silkies in the oven.

they sound like EE (easter eggers). Especially if they came from a hatchery that spelt them as americanas (red flag as not being real deal) araucanas have no tails and long tufts (long feathers as sideburns) and true araucanas are very hard to come by! if you still have them a pic could help me identify them! Usually if they lay green eggs they are EE, but could be ameraucanas, but its highly unlikely to have a a well standardized ameraucana that doesnt lay blue eggs (might lay white if it lays more than 3 or 4 a week but is rare for ameraucanas)
