I loved our easter eggers. My profile pic is my favorite of the 11. Had to get rid of them and the mallards a week ago because they needed more room and the mallards decided to swim in the new neighbors pool.

First time we meet them and the first thing they say is "Do you happen to have ducks?"

Hope to get some Buff Orps soon, but i'm looking at other breeds.

Oh, I'm sorry. I know I would hate to get rid of my birdies. The easter eggers are such characters.

I hear that Orps are really friendly. I'm looking at getting some d'Anvers. They are such cute bantams.

Ya they were sweet, but they mainly thought of me as "TREATS"
They were all really good friends with our black lab, they would all follow each other around like a big parade.

We had to take more than we were ready for, and I didn't want them to be cramped. Plus the way they followed each other around and would freak out if they got seperated I thought they needed to stay together. We found a nice lady who had several buildings for birds and lakes for the ducks (a breeder) so i know they have room.

It's good that you found them a good home together. Picking out a new flock can be exciting and lots of fun. I know I felt like a kid in a candy store when I got my cochins, frizzles, and sizzles.

I know. I love being to look at other people birds and watch them. My mom's cousin (who has been on byc for 4 years and showed it to me) has RIRs and Americaunas. I am considering them, and I like how the True Americaunas have beards. She said that she used to have buffs, and if you sat there long enough, they would come and nap on you. I could sit and watch her flocks all day though. (Peacocks too)

How cool! I've never seen any true Americaunas. I used to have some RIRs and they were great birds. Good layers, friendly, and smart.
