BR’s Travels -🇩🇪-

🇩🇪 -The end of our travels…
has come- 🇺🇸

Last week we took a 3-hour bus ride from Grafenwöhr, Germany to Ramstein.
Then we took a 9-hour flight overseas (with delays) from Ramstein to Maryland.
And then a 2-hour flight (with no delays thankfully) to Atlanta, Georgia.

So yes.. I’ve returned to America!! 🎉
We spent an incredible 3 years in Germany experiencing the culture, traveling Europe, trying the food, learning the language, but now we’re back in the US of A! 🇺🇸
We don’t live in Atlanta right now, we’re just staying at a hotel until we can move into our new house, but Georgia will be our new home for at least the next 3 years! :D

Germany was honestly an amazing experience. I enjoyed learning and practicing using the language, and personally will continue to try and learn more. 🇩🇪
I loved how close everything was compared to the States (dawg, I could drive 6 hours just to cross Kansas, when it only takes the same amount of time to drive from where we were in Germany to France.) 💀
All the different food was fun to try (I really liked Nutella, Milka bars, bratwurst (especially the Nürnberger kind), the way they have fresh bread absolutely everywhere, the ICE CREAM, and the fact that everything just wasn’t as sweet as it it in the States. :p

I went to an international youth camp for my last couple years and that was an incredible experience—met a lot of really great people, and loved having such a great community at the churches we attended there. ❤️
The weather was different compared to Kansas—no humidity, but a LOT of rain. Plus the fact that the most Europeans don’t have air conditioning made summers seem a lot hotter. Unfortunately the heat in Germany is nothing compared to the temperature here in Georgia! 😅
It’s been throwing me off because it’s been raining, and in Germany when it rains it gets cool, but here when it rains it gets humid! 😭 It always appears to be a lot cooler outside than it actually is, which is sad because I don’t really like the heat. 🫠

This is a new page in my life y’all. I’m an adult who’s about ready to move on, and though I’m unsure where to go or what to do, I’m trusting God to lead me, because He’s been with me thus far and I know that He has a plan, even though it’s scary right now because I can’t see it. ❤️

Oh yes, one more note:

My art has gotten to a point I’d never have seen in myself 3 years ago, it’s actually wild.
This drawing I can vividly remember drawing on my bare bed, no mattress, right before we were about to leave. This was 3 years ago:

And this is the last drawing I made before we left, on my mattress on the floor:

Funnily enough, this was for a BYC member. 😂

It’s actually CRAZY how much I improved, and I’m so happy when I draw, it all comes so naturally to me now. ❤️
