Willkommen Freunde!! 👋

Matty here!
Irl I am going to be moving to Germany because my dad is going (back) into the army as a chaplain! I’ll post pics, narrate, talk about travels, or just chat here with whoever’s willing to listen to me ramble :p.
ALSO- there’s going to be a whole ‘ordeal’ with my chickens 😢. I know very well we can’t (won’t) bring them so I’m not arguing, and we’re going to give them to our pastor. 😭
SO.
We’re going to do a lot of traveling once in Germany: France, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden (our family has some Swedish in us ;) (and some NA Indian but whatev)), ETC. the list can go on..
We’re going to be stationed there for the max amount of time you can stay away from the US, 3 years 😲. THAT MEANS that I may be able to get fowl while I’m there! (Praying our house has enough space for birds! 🙏)
My mom and I are interested in getting quail, but we’ve never had them before, so advice is welcome! How to take care of them when they’re so small, what to feed, what breed to get, etc.
Anyway, welcome!

Edit (something you may not have seen):

Wow, Germany? The Bielefelder's that I have are supposed to have originated over in Germany. It would be interesting if you would be able to take some picture's of what the German breeder's over there are doing for type. I'd love to see that. We here in America seem to want to switch the breed's up over here.

I haven’t looked at how the Germans breed chickens! I’ll try to find out!
