In birds that I can't tell, I will go ahead and vent sex.

If the sex organs were that easily hid, AI would be very difficult to do successfully. When the birds are...um...aroused, the sex organs are very easy to see.
 
Bock, your bird looks very different from my BR cockerels. They're 13w3d old, much lighter colored than yours, and have obvious pointed saddle feathers and sickle feathers growing in their tails.

i see what you mean my barred rock wanna be tail feathers are not even close to being pointy like that man am i getting mixed signals i really guess i am going to have to wait for the egg or crow on this one but even then i dont know if i can be sure as i here that hens can crow too lol imma wait it out i guess i got a long way to wait for that first egg if it is a hen to make sure tho

I'll tell you how I know BR roos are Light colored as the pic jossanne posted of her young roo. She is dark her tail is not pointed up like a roos and she looks like a girl.

100% SURE SHE IS A PULLET!
