Yep, I'd say male due to the skinny feathers coming in on the saddle and hackle areas. It's definitely not a pure BR, IMO.

this debates been going a while s/he is almost 4 months now and still undecided about sex lol, i really do hope it is a pullet, but i got lucky i talked to me neighbor yesterday i guess he grew up on a farm and said he would like it better here in the city if my rooster was to crow i got a rir rooster a little older then my barred rock most likely less then a week older but i have only heard it try crowing a long time ago it never really crowed so i might just be lucky but we will see
