BR roo??

Hmmm...now I'm not so sure. I'm a 1st time chicken owner, I'm still learning. I assumed the noise I've heard was a crow as it was much louder than what I've previously heard from the others. Shes also VERY bossy and pecks the smaller hens away from the food. That's another reason why I thought she was a cockeral. The dominate personality.

A cockerel shouldn’t do that. By this point he would be treating his girls. She’s just a dominant pullet.

Thank you all! Shes squatting down in the last few days, just like my other pullets. I'm hoping the first eggs are coming in the near future! We've also checked the yard for eggs, just in case. No luck just yet.

Even pullets hit an age where their voices change and they start making new (and sometimes awkward) noises. I think you are going to have some eggs from her in the near future.

Looks like a pullet to me and if she is squatting, eggs should be coming soon. I had a female RIR and she would bully the others terrible. A few times when she beating up on a pullet I had a hose handy and squirted her which really took her by surprise. She never quit. I took her to an auction. I had cut a second pop door into the coop because she would guard the main pop door and not let the others in to eat. I also put another feeder and waterer in their run. She couldn't guard everything.
