Does anyone else’s Brahma baby have leg feather like this? S/he’s 5 weeks old and growing slow, but is a total mummy’s boy/girl

They are a feather legged breed but in all the picture I’ve found the back leg feathers don’t come out as far , they are nearly 4inches long.

It might be a Cochin.

They are a feather legged breed but in all the picture I’ve found the back leg feathers don’t come out as far , they are nearly 4inches long.

They're called Vulture Hocks, & it's a disqualification if you're showing. But it's fine in pet quality birds though.

The chickie has vulture hocks, which means it might be a D’Uccle mix.

Neither Brahmas nor Cochins should have vulture hocks.
