another laced bird for me to lust after!!!!!

I don't know if you're going for production or for exhibition, but one thing I see that "could" be worked on, is the tails area. Instead of having the tail come to a tip, it should be more spread out and look like a semi-circle.

The male has a purple sheen going on, but that could be simply because of extra corn being fed and can be bred out easily once you get the type and lacing down pact.

big medicine, I am very, VERY impressed. The lacing is awesome, the type is very good as well and I'm glad to see there's no cushion on them. Kudos to you! Keep up the excellent work!

No wyandotte or dark brahma on my part. Probably 15-20 generations from original cross. I'll give you a hint , 3 breeds involved ,and light brahma only added about 8 years ago.

Hmmmm.. He sends puzzles to figure out. lol Going to my poultry breeds book!!!

Yes, I just LOVE the lacing! I could see myself with a couple of those XD

Lets thinks... Silver Laced Cochin, and I'm thinking something a bit darker.. Silver Pencilled plymoth rock? Then to a Light Brahma? Or am I wrong?

What is the breed name of your new creation?

and thinking of purchasing another one!

Big Medicine, you should be proud of your progress!!! Just takes time and patience!!

Thanks for the kind words.I guess I am basically working on lawn ornaments that can keep me in eggs and meat while keeping to Brahma type.
I agree on the tails, I also need more skull and size.
I was concerned about the purple sheen. I do indeed feed corn in my scratch mix every morning, and on very cold evenings they get a little whole corn before they go to roost . I also have a habit of sitting on a bench in the yard with a ear of corn while studying my birds .Flipping a kernel every so often to get a bird to move or turn. So I probabley do feed to much corn.
I suspect by your cushion comment you have the second breed involved figured out.
