I am not sure what happened to my little chick. I've been back and forth to the coop all day and I just noticed some swelling above my Brahma chick's beak. This chick is one of the bigger ones I have. There are several other chicks that live in the same coop along with the one that's hurt. Could the other chicks be pecking at this one or is something else going on?

I would check your feeder and waterer in case of sharp edges, especially on metal ones. Then consider that she was pecked or had some other injury. I would dab on some iodine on the wound.

I actually have the little plastic feeders for my chicks. I guess maybe my chick tried to squeeze her beak through the hardware cloth on the coop or one of the other girls pecked her.
