Anyone else hatching?

We are 12 days in to our final hatch of the year. We set 31 eggs and only got 3 hatch in out last batch. This time we are using 6 of our own eggs instead of shipped. Keep your fingers crossed for us and we'll do the same for you 😊.

I love hatching eggs. I am thinking I may try to hatch some of our Pekin ducks out this spring. I've never hatched a duck. I always joke that my hubby is gonna hide my incubator cord. (Until I pointed out its the same type cord his PS4 takes..haha👻). I go on ""lock down"" tomorrow. I can't wait.

Meeee! I have 8 on day 20 and one of them just pipped early wrong end.

Waiting.... PXL_20251006_221622106.jpg

I feel I must warn you seeing as this is your first hatch. Incubating eggs can become addictive!!! Good luck with you hatch.
Addictive doesn't even start to cover the trance you'll find yourself in and waking up to a full incubator of eggs and swearing you didn't do it  :barnie:bow

Ah no!!! I haven't reached this stage yet. Thanks for the heads-up
My wife made me quit until after the holidays because she needs all my of her tables, I incubate in the house, I told her that I would be done in October.
It’s going to hurt not being able to hatch out any eggs for a while, but hunting season is here so I’ll be going to one ranch or the other.
I’ll be getting eggs from speckled Sussex and Wyandottes next spring, I’m looking forward to that.
